What is Advocacy Showcase?

Advocacy Showcase is an opportunity to highlight an advocacy program or initiative and present it to your peers in a marketplace of ideas. It’s also a chance to view the amazing efforts of our network and gather ideas of programs, projects, and legislative advocacy that you can implement back home.

What type of program, project, or initiative should we highlight?

Select an advocacy program or project to highlight that has created social change, increased NCJW’s visibility, impacted your community, strengthened your section, and/or demonstrated a deep commitment to NCJW’s mission. Show how you have recognized a need, sounded a call to action, and built a movement. While no awards will be presented, this will be an opportunity for you to share your successes across the network.

For example, you can highlight a legislative victory (a piece of legislation you helped pass or stop), a coalition you helped build, an advocacy training program, a lobby day, a virtual campaign, or anything else that you’re particularly proud of.

Who is eligible to participate?

Sections, SPAs, action teams, and members-at-large who have an advocacy program or project they are proud of and want to share.

What does participating entail?

Fill out the sign-up form below and then prepare your display. Details about the display and the logistics are forthcoming. Only those who sign up for Advocacy Showcase will receive these details.

In a nutshell, you will have one table to set up a display explaining your project. During the Advocacy Showcase, you will discuss your project and answer questions as attendees visit your table. Consider bringing some of the following materials as part of your display: posters, pictures from event/program/initiative, newspaper stories/press clippings, scrapbooks, invitations, bulletin articles/advertisements, newspaper, and op-ed clippings, one-page informational flyers to hand out (roughly 100-200 copies).

When is Advocacy Showcase?

Information coming soon.

How do we participate?

Please complete the Advocacy Showcase sign-up form below to assure your participation.  We are excited to highlight and share your innovative and impactful efforts.

If your are displaying more than one project, please submit one sign-up form for each project and let us know in the special requests field if you will show both of your displays on the same table or would like more than one table.
