President Trump Spews Hate Speech, Not Policy
November 2, 2018, Washington, DC — The National Council of Jewish Women rejects President Trump’s remarks last night and his naked electoral ploy to further divide our nation and vilify people of color. NCJW CEO Nancy K. Kaufman released the following statement:
“Closing our borders to asylum seekers is against the law and detaining immigrant families and children in vast tent cities is both ludicrous and wildly heartless. As we’ve seen in recent weeks, this rhetoric has dangerous consequences. We call on lawmakers to speak out against these vicious fabrications and we will not stop working to welcome the stranger.”
