    • For Example: 125th Campaign, Board Commitment, Israel Granting

Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated assets can offer significant tax advantages. Donations of appreciated, publicly traded securities are one of the most tax-wise methods. The most common forms of these assets are shares of stock, bonds and mutual funds. For more information about transferring appreciated assets, click here.

Make a Pledge

Put in writing the amount you plan to give during a fiscal year (July 1 to July 30).  NCJW will send quarterly reminders through the year and monthly reminders in the spring leading up to the end of the fiscal year on June 30th.  One cannot make a pledge for donations through donor advised funds.  An email or written notification may be sent to staff or a member of the Board of Trustees.

IRA Contribution

Annual withdrawals from traditional retirement accounts are required after age 70½, and the penalty for skipping a required minimum distribution is 50 percent of the amount that should have been withdrawn. By donating money from your IRA directly to NCJW you can avoid income tax on required withdrawals. For more information about IRA contributions, click here.
