We want courts that work for all of us.
Yet, the Senate continues to rush through federal judicial confirmations when the people have elected a new president and Senate. During a “lame duck” session of Congress, it is unprecedented to confirm judges to lifetime appointments — these are seats for the next administration to fill — and particularly as the Senate has yet to consider or pass meaningful COVID legislation since March. With COVID cases on the rise, unprecedented unemployment rates, and widespread racial injustice, the Senate must instead focus on the needs of our nation. Prioritizing partisan and unqualified judges instead of the health and economic relief of the American people is unjust and irresponsible.
Tell your senators: No more judges — prioritize COVID relief now!
