Winter is here, and it's time to take a cold, hard look at the state of the nation. This issue of the NCJW Journal represents a call to action -- to rein in unchecked power, defend civil liberties, protect the powerless, uphold religion-state separation, safeguard reproductive rights, and expand women's participation in the political process. Throughout its history, NCJW has spoken out against abuses of power. And now it's time to turn up the heat. Together, we must protect the rights of all Americans.
The Unchecked Power Explosion
