NCJW has been a key partner to Israel’s feminist ecosystem since the beginnings of its emergence. Through strategic grantmaking and direct programming, we have helped nurture emerging organizations, support rising leaders, and invest in the infrastructure a strong feminist field requires.
Connecting for Impact (CFI), launched in 2018 in partnership with the NCJW Women and Gender Studies Program at Tel Aviv University, brings feminist leaders together across Israeli society to build shared strategy, strengthen collaboration, and drive collective impact.

In Spring 2024, under the shadow of war, CFI launched the Collaborative Planning Process for Gender Equity, a participatory effort designed with partners Shatil and BeDo. The result is a field-informed vision shaped by leaders across the ecosystem.
This plan reflects:
- 36 field leaders who worked together to build a shared Theory of Change and develop ideas to advance its outcomes
- More than 100 stakeholders who engaged in discussion and consultation
- Early philanthropic investment that helped turn ambitious feminist ideas into viable plans
