State Policy Advocacy Network
NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
The State Policy Advocacy (SPA) Network is NCJW’s premier advocacy leadership cohort. Nationally appointed by NCJW’s President under the recommendation of their NCJW section, SPAs lead NCJW’s policy work on a state level. They set the tone for state policy priorities, identify opportunities for advocacy, organize lobby days, and represent NCJW in state coalitions. State Policy Advocates are respected and well-seasoned organizers, leaders, and advocates from a wide range of backgrounds.
Inspired by Jewish values, the SPA’s work with NCJW sections, state coalitions, grasstops leaders, and community members to create change. We have over 30 State Policy Advocates across 20 states advancing state legislative priorities, in addition to elevating national legislative priorities in their communities. Additionally, roughly half of SPAs also lead advocacy committees.
