State Policy Advocacy Network

NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

The State Policy Advocacy (SPA) Network is NCJW’s premier advocacy leadership cohort. Nationally appointed by NCJW’s President at the recommendation of their NCJW section, SPAs lead NCJW’s federal policy work in the state. They often engage in state policy priorities, identify opportunities for advocacy, organize lobby days, and represent NCJW in state coalitions. State Policy Advocates are respected and seasoned organizers, leaders, and advocates from a wide range of backgrounds.

Inspired by Jewish values, the SPAs work with NCJW sections, state coalitions, grassroots leaders, and community members to create change. We have over 30 State Policy Advocates across more than 20 states advancing NCJW’s priorities. Additionally, many SPAs lead advocacy committees to engage more advocates in the work and help build a leadership pipeline.
