When Beth Sholom Congregation started in 1917, they had no space to call their own. But, “thanks to efforts by the local members associated with the National Council of Jewish Women and the Weinberg family, which bought a building downtown and donated it to the congregation, plans took shape.” 100 years later, the congregation (pictured below) now has over 200 families and a second location.
