NCJW is planning an online National Voting Meeting Friday, May 12 – Monday, May 22  to determine our new board slate, Bylaws, and Resolutions. Voting opens at 9am ET on May 12 and closes at 11:59 ET on May 22.

The NCJW Resolutions and Bylaws adopted by delegates will guide NCJW’s efforts to make progressive social change and enhance NCJW’s governance procedures over the next three years. Your involvement or that of your section is critical and very much valued. Collectively, we determine and pursue NCJW’s voice and future, and we hope, the destiny of women, children, and families who depend on our efforts.

NCJW’s National Online Voting Meeting: Need to Know 

Who Votes?

• Sections in good standing should have received their number of voting delegates from NCJW’s Engagement and Leadership team by March 31. If you have questions, please contact Hannah Borison at hborison@ncjw.org.
• Sections should designate voting delegates via this google form through Thursday, May 4 at midnight ET. Only one form is needed per section for section voting delegates. A unique link to the voting platform will be sent in May to all voting delegates who complete the google form.
• In addition to section delegates, the following each receive a vote and a unique voting link in May (no need to complete the google form): NCJW Board of Directors, State Policy Advocates, Honorary Presidents, Honorary Vice-Presidents, Honorary Directors, and the National Nominating Committee. 
• We will be in touch with all voting delegates to share instructions for using NCJW’s online voting platform and credentials for accessing the platform leading up to voting. 
• We will share the new slates approved by the delegate body by Wednesday June 7, 2023. 

How Do I Offer an Amendment?

• Those who wish to offer amendments should complete this Bylaws and Resolutions Amendments form by Thursday, May 4 at midnight ET. 
• All amendments must have a second who is a voting delegate not from your section. Per NCJW’s Bylaws, only previously submitted Resolutions changes can be offered as amendments. Voting delegates may also submit previously rejected Bylaws changes as well as new Bylaws as amendments.
