Demand Safe Release of Hostages from Hamas

On October 7, Hamas instigated the largest attack on Jews since the Holocaust, slaughtering 1,400 Israelis and taking over 200 people as hostages. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Todd Young (R-IN), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Ben Cardin (D-MD), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), and Mitt Romney (R-UT) introduced a bipartisan resolution, S. Res. 408, condemning Hamas’s brutal terrorist attacks on Israel and demanding that Hamas release all hostages and allow for their safe return home. This resolution cements US support for the Israeli people, strongly condemns the atrocities carried out by Hamas, and demands the immediate, safe release of all hostages being held by the terrorist organization. The Senate must use its voice and power to strongly call for the swift release of these innocent people.

Dear Senator,

Thank you so much for supporting S. Res. 408 condemning Hamas for its premeditated, coordinated, and brutal terrorist attacks on Israel and demanding that Hamas immediately release all hostages and return them to safety. This bipartisan measure sends a strong message to the Israeli people, hostage families, and Hamas — that the United States will do everything in its power to ensure the hostages are released swiftly and safely.

October 7 is a day that we will never forget. We are grateful for your leadership in the senate and efforts to condemn terrorism and bring the innocent people taken hostage home.

Sincerely,
