Social Change Awards

Washington Institute provides an opportunity to honor the exceptional social change work done by our sections and leaders. With Washington Institute 2019 quickly approaching, now is the time for you to nominate your section, SPA committee, and outstanding NCJW leaders for the awards listed below. This is your chance to share how NCJW sections and leaders are making an important difference at the local, state, or national level and to inspire others to work for social change.

The Awards

This award honors an individual NCJW leader who has been instrumental in moving their section forward toward accomplishing NCJW’s mission by implementing a program, project, or campaign that includes at least two of the following strategies: advocacy, community service, education, or community organizing.

Enduring Advocate For Social Change Award

The nominated programs should be effective and advance progressive social change around an issue relating to NCJW’s mission.

Application Process

Each Washington Institute 2019 Social Change Award nomination must be accompanied by a completed copy of the submission form and a completed Social Change Award application. Please be sure to review the criteria and answer the questions listed on the appropriate award application. Read the full instructions and view the submission form here. Submissions should be emailed to Ari Conrad with the subject header: WI2019 Awards.

The deadline to submit a Social Change Awards application is Friday, January 25, 2019 so that we may announce the winners in advance of Washington Institute 2019! This year, we are once again producing a Recognition Book that will be distributed at Washington Institute. Friends and family will have an opportunity to pay tribute and offer congratulations to our incredible Social Change Award winners.
