Tell the Senate: Reauthorize VAWA
- The issue: Intimate partner violence, sexual assault, harassment, and stalking affect millions of people. It impacts women, children, and families regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, and socioeconomic background.
- The good news: The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) must be reauthorized every five years. The House passed a bill that would build upon and expand this essential law and the Senate recently introduce its version.
- Our task: Tell your senators to swiftly pass the VAWA Reauthorization Act of 2022.
UPDATE: MARCH 2022
The FY22 omnibus bill, which passed March 10th, included the Violence Against Women Act. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality!
