Special Briefing Call: Readler & Rao

President Trump nominated Chad Readler and Neomi Rao to serve lifetime appointments as federal circuit judges – just one step below the US Supreme Court. While leading the Civil Division at the Department of Justice, Readler filed a brief attempting to strike down the Affordable Care Act, including its protections for those with pre-existing conditions. Rao, who is nominated to fill the seat vacated by now-Justice Kavanaugh, is no better – she wrote in college that a rape victim is partly to blame if she is intoxicated, and then proceeded to roll back Title IX protections for sexual assault survivors while running the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs at the White House. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. These nominees have demonstrated career-long biases and ideological agendas. Soon, the US Senate will hold confirmation votes for these clearly unfit nominees. Tell your Senators to protect our courts!

Join National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and Alliance for Justice (AFJ) for a special briefing call on Wednesday, February 27 at 2 pm EST. We will hear from AFJ’s Legal Director Dan Goldberg and Communications Director Laurie Kinney to learn more about the nominees and specific ways you can speak out. You won’t want to miss this informative call. Register today!
