Preserve everyone’s right to marry who they love

The issue: The right for LGBTQ+ individuals to marry who they love was a hard-fought battle but is under threat: Justice Thomas’s concurring opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization urged the court to reconsider Obergefell v. Hodges — the case that secured the right to same-sex marriage.

The good news: The Respect for Marriage Act would require the federal government to recognize the validity of same-sex and interracial marriages. The bill has already passed in the House with bipartisan support and is now being considered in the Senate.

Your task: Send an email to urge your Senators to pass the Respect for Marriage Act and ensure the continued right to same-sex and interracial marriage.
