Individuals who have been in the work force may find that in addition to Social Security, they will receive income from other retirement plans, such as IRAs, 401(k)s, or 403(b)s. A gift from remaining retirement plan funds can be an easy way to arrange a donation at a very low after-tax cost to one's family or friends. Contact your retirement plan administrator for details about naming one or more charitable recipients as beneficiaries.
