Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations
Thanks to a body of work that spans more than half a century, the Conference of Presidents is American Jewry’s recognized address for consensus policy, collective action, and maximizing the resources of the American Jewish community. When events in the US, Israel and elsewhere affect the American Jewish community, the Conference of Presidents take the lead to explain and analyze issues, provide a link between American Jewry and the US government, and facilitate a coordinated community response. From mass public events to private diplomacy, the Conference has been in the forefront of mobilizing support for Israel and educating the public in times of war and conflict, and in the pursuit of peace.
International Council of Jewish Women
Established in 1912, the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW) represents 52 women’s organizations in 47 countries that work for social justice and the welfare of all people. ICJW provides a voice for Jewish women around the world and a platform for speaking out about critical social and public policy issues. ICJW represents Jewish women from all walks of life in many important international forums and is strategically positioned to confront and respond to the concerns of the Jewish community and women in general.
Jewish Council for Public Affairs
The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) strives to serve as the representative voice of the organized American Jewish community. Collectively, JCPA works to safeguard the rights of Jews in the US and around the world, support the safety and security of the state of Israel, and protects, preserves, and promotes a just American society — one that is democratic and pluralistic, one that furthers harmonious interreligious, inter-ethnic, interracial, and other intergroup relations.
JCPA reflects a unique and inclusive partnership of national member agencies, local community relations councils and committees, and the federations of which they are a component part or affiliated agency. It convenes the “common table” around which member agencies, through an open, representative, inclusive and consensus-driven process, meet to identify issues, articulate positions, and develop strategies, programs, and approaches designed to advance the public affairs goals and objectives of the organized Jewish community.
Leadership Conference on Civil Rights

LCCR consists of more than 192 national organizations, representing people of color, women, children, labor unions, individuals with disabilities, older Americans, major religious groups, gays and lesbians, and civil liberties and human rights groups. Together, these organizations aim to unite all Americans as one nation true to its promise of equal justice, equal opportunity, and mutual respect.
Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice
The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) brings together religious communities to ensure reproductive choice through education and advocacy. Founded in 1973 to safeguard the newly won constitutional right to abortion, RCRC also strives to give clear voice to the reproductive issues of people of color, those living in poverty, and other underserved populations.
Today, RCRC comprises national organizations from major faiths and tradition, religiously affiliated and independent religious organizations, affiliates throughout the country, the national Clergy for Choice Network, Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom chapters, The Black Church Initiative, and individuals who support reproductive choice and religious freedom. While the member organizations of RCRC are religiously and theologically diverse, they are unified in their commitment to preserve reproductive choice as a basic part of religious liberty.
